Cherish Lewis Sea View Hote- Athol

Hotel Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to bookings and stays at Cherish Lewis Sea View Hotel – Athol, 383–385 Promenade, Blackpool, FY1 6BH. By making a booking, the lead guest confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these terms on behalf of everyone included in the booking.

1. Bookings

The lead guest must be at least 18 years old and must provide accurate contact and payment information.

Only the number of guests included in the confirmed reservation may stay in the room. Additional guests must be approved by the hotel in advance and may incur an additional charge.

The hotel reserves the right to request valid photographic identification from guests at check-in.

2. Payment

The room price, payment schedule and any applicable taxes or mandatory charges will be displayed before the booking is confirmed.

Depending on the selected rate, full or partial payment may be required at the time of booking. Any remaining balance must be paid by the date stated in the booking confirmation.

The cardholder may be required to present the payment card and photographic identification.

3. Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit may be required before check-in. The amount and payment instructions will be communicated before arrival or clearly displayed during the booking process.

The deposit may be used towards the reasonable cost of:

  • Damage to the room, furniture, fixtures or hotel property;

  • Missing items;

  • Smoking or vaping in prohibited areas;

  • Excessive cleaning;

  • Unauthorised guests;

  • Lost keys or damage to locks;

  • Serious disturbance or breach of hotel rules.

Any deduction will be reasonable and supported by details of the relevant loss, damage or cleaning requirement. The remaining balance will be returned to the original payment method after the room has been inspected. Bank processing times may vary.

4. Check-in and Check-out

Standard check-in is from 4:00 PM.

Standard check-out is by 11:00 AM.

Early check-in and late check-out may be booked in advance, subject to availability and an additional charge. These services are not guaranteed unless confirmed by the hotel.

Guests who remain in the room after the agreed check-out time without permission may be charged a reasonable late check-out fee. If the delay affects the next reservation, additional reasonable costs may apply.

5. Self Check-in and Access Codes

Where self check-in is provided, instructions and access codes will be sent to the contact details supplied by the guest.

Access codes are confidential and must not be shared with anyone who is not included in the reservation. Guests must ensure that hotel entrance doors and room doors are properly closed and secured.

6. Cancellations, Amendments and No-shows

Cancellation and amendment conditions depend on the rate selected at the time of booking. Guests should review the applicable cancellation policy before confirming their reservation.

Non-refundable bookings cannot normally be cancelled or amended without charge, except where required by law or expressly agreed by the hotel.

For flexible bookings, any applicable cancellation deadline will be shown in the booking confirmation. Cancellations received after that deadline and failure to arrive may result in a charge in accordance with the confirmed rate conditions.

Where a booking was made through Booking.com, Expedia or another booking platform, the cancellation and amendment request should normally be submitted through that platform.

7. Room Allocation

We will make reasonable efforts to provide the room type booked. Specific room numbers, floors, views and bed arrangements are subject to availability unless expressly confirmed in writing.

Photographs on the website represent the style and general appearance of our accommodation. Individual rooms may vary in size, layout, furnishings and view.

8. Children

Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times, including in the bar, lounge and communal areas.

Baby cots and additional beds are subject to availability and must be requested in advance. Additional charges may apply where stated before confirmation.

9. Bar and Karaoke Nights

The hotel has a bar and lounge and may hold karaoke nights or other entertainment on selected evenings.

Entertainment dates and times may change or be cancelled. Some noise may be audible in certain rooms while an event is taking place. Guests who may be sensitive to noise are encouraged to contact the hotel before booking so that we can try to allocate a suitable room, subject to availability.

Alcohol will only be served in accordance with licensing requirements. The hotel may refuse service to anyone who appears intoxicated, behaves aggressively or fails to comply with hotel rules.

Guests must not bring alcohol into licensed communal or entertainment areas unless authorised by the hotel.

10. Quiet Hours and Guest Conduct

Quiet hours are from 11:00 PM until 7:00 AM, except for authorised hotel entertainment.

Guests must behave respectfully towards other guests, neighbours and members of staff. Excessive noise, parties in bedrooms, threatening behaviour, harassment, illegal activity and damage to hotel property are not permitted.

The hotel may refuse entry or require a guest to leave where reasonably necessary to protect the safety, security or comfort of others. No refund will normally be provided where a stay is ended because of a serious breach of these rules, subject to applicable consumer law.

11. Smoking and Vaping

Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited inside bedrooms and all other non-smoking areas of the hotel.

A charge of up to £100 may apply where smoking or vaping results in reasonable cleaning, deodorising or room-unavailability costs. Further reasonable costs may be charged where the actual loss exceeds this amount.

Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas.

12. Damage and Missing Property

Guests are responsible for any damage or loss caused deliberately or negligently by themselves, members of their party or visitors they invite onto the premises.

The hotel may charge the reasonable cost of repairing or replacing damaged or missing property, together with any directly related loss that can be reasonably demonstrated.

Any damage, maintenance problem or missing item found on arrival should be reported promptly so that we can investigate and assist.

13. Parking

Limited on-site parking may be available on a first-come, first-served basis unless a space has been expressly confirmed.

Vehicles and their contents are left at the owner’s risk. The hotel is not responsible for loss or damage unless caused by the hotel’s negligence or where liability cannot legally be excluded.

Guests must park considerately and must not obstruct entrances, emergency access routes or other vehicles.

14. Personal Belongings and Lost Property

Guests are responsible for looking after their personal belongings during their stay.

Items found after departure will normally be kept for a limited period. Guests are responsible for reasonable postage or courier costs when requesting the return of an item.

Nothing in these terms excludes any responsibility the hotel may have under applicable law.

15. Fire Safety

Guests must familiarise themselves with the fire exits and safety information provided at the hotel.

Fire doors must not be held open, obstructed or tampered with. Fire alarms, smoke detectors, emergency lighting and firefighting equipment must not be covered, disconnected or misused.

Candles, portable cooking equipment and other naked flames are prohibited in bedrooms.

16. Accessibility and Special Requirements

Guests with accessibility needs or other important requirements should contact the hotel before booking. We will provide accurate information and make reasonable efforts to assist, but particular facilities or room locations cannot be guaranteed unless confirmed in writing.

17. Complaints and Problems During the Stay

Guests should report problems as soon as reasonably possible during their stay so that the hotel has an opportunity to investigate and, where possible, resolve the issue.

Complaints made after departure will still be considered, but our ability to investigate or provide an immediate solution may be limited.

18. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control

The hotel will not be responsible for a failure or delay caused by events outside its reasonable control. If such an event materially affects a booking, we will communicate with the guest and take reasonable steps to minimise disruption.

19. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Subject to the above, the hotel is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the booking was made or for business losses arising from a booking made for personal use.

20. Privacy

Personal information will be used to administer the reservation, process payments, communicate with guests, maintain security and comply with legal obligations.

Information will only be shared where necessary to provide the booking, comply with the law or protect legitimate safety and security interests.

21. Changes to These Terms

The terms applicable to a reservation are those provided or made available when the booking is confirmed. We may update these terms for future reservations, but we will not retrospectively make a material change that disadvantages an existing booking without the guest’s agreement.

22. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Guests retain any mandatory consumer rights and may bring proceedings in any court entitled to hear their claim under applicable law.
